Shipping Handmade Clothing from Afghanistan to the US
Delivery windows, tracking, packing for embroidery, and how sizing choices interact with international shipping.
Handmade clothing leaves our partner workshops in Afghanistan and travels by international post to addresses in the United States. Knowing the timeline — and packing care — makes waiting easier.
Typical delivery window
Most US orders arrive within 2–4 weeks after dispatch. Customs and carrier routing can add a few days around holidays. As soon as your parcel ships, we email a tracking code; you can also find it on your order page if you checked out with an account.
Flat-rate shipping and free-shipping threshold
We use a transparent flat US shipping rate on every order. Orders that meet the free-shipping threshold in store settings (commonly \$150+) ship without that fee. The rate does not change with the number of garments in one box.
How we protect embroidery in transit
Dresses and textiles are folded with protection for raised stitches, then wrapped to limit rubbing. Still, open your parcel carefully and inspect embroidery within a few days of delivery so we can help quickly if anything shifted in transit.
Sizing tip before you ship-wait
Because returns across borders take time, confirm measurements before you order when possible. Use our measuring guide and size chart, or message us your bust, waist, hips and preferred length. Getting size right the first time is the best “fast fashion” alternative for slow, handmade clothing.
